Top hat

Sometimes I take requests from my friends, which end up with silly images like this.

Character: Sandy (a “jbrowneuk original” :3 )

Time taken: about 3 hours to get the hair and face shape right, plus a few hours of tweaking. I’d done the body lines before to use as updated art for my comic, and I don’t know how long those took.

Tools used: Inkscape 0.91 on a Mac.

My favourite bit is: her ridiculous expression while wearing a ridiculous, physics-defying hat.

The most fiddly bit was: hair. Couldn’t get it to look the way I wanted it to. Left it with a simple gradient for now. I will learn how to draw hair properly one day!

Am I happy with this work? Yes. It came from nowhere for no reason, and sometimes those are the best.
