290: Kiteless
All she wanted to do was play with the kite.
Her dad gave her the kite when she was small, but he was never there to play - there was always an excuse. “Daddy’s busy today,” or “Daddy’s got work to do, sweetie. How about tomorrow?”
In time she grew older and unwilling to spend time playing with her parents. She made new friends, enrolled in further education and moved out of her parents’ house, never knowing the fun of flying a kite with her father.
All she ever wanted to do was play with the kite.
